Our very good friends Skeppet will also be painting the walls with their towering clouds of casual, otherworldly bliss.

By the way, we will be posting tour photos and info about the Trilogi gatefold vinyl shortly.

Thank you and so long Europe. We’re taking all your fever dreams and head into the biggest snow storm America has seen in 90 years, leaving you with a long quote from Wintersleep’s Paul Murphy’s Postdata solo project:

“Beneath a paranoid cluster of falling stars, in the big black belly of the universe, old rotted out lumber and abandoned cars, bring your friends and family, flashlights, tape recorders. Random stacks of letters, pens, postcards unmarked, cellphones smashed and scattered, plastic body parts, acre upon acre, layer upon layer, photographs of jesus, brando, joan of arc, post it notes and stickers glowing in the dark, abstract grids and patterns in the shape of a ladder, how to books on life and why it does not matter, some say radiation, some say divine light, alien invasion, ain’t it about time, some great overwhelming nothing humming climb, climb, climb, we have gouged out the ocean with our toxic eyes, shrapnel, prophylactics, expired anti-biotics, empty spray cans, burned out rockets, heaps of soil and stench and garbage, centuries accumulative, death defiant, burning bright, beneath a paranoid cluster of falling stars.”

As screened last week at Singsang and Stereogum, here’s the first video from Trilogi, the album-opener Vinterbarn. It was a challenge to make something Fredriky that’s actually “bright”. But winter is both the brightest and the darkest time of the year so maybe it makes sense. Just like mind control.

Today the Fredrik debut Na Na Ni hit the mysteriously captivating shores of the isle of Japan. Amigas, amigos, fans and loved ones over there can now turn to our hard-working, ever-expanding allies Zankyo Records in Tokyo. However, music nowadays travels in radio wires, telephone lines, laser beams, t-shirts, cassettes, answering machines, nightmares, soup cans and even thin air. So expect anything – wherever you are.

Those of you who thought there was something fishy going on with our song titles, you were absolutely correct. All fredrik songs are built from the ground up on the hiragana phonetic system. Na Na Ni is just a simple one. We’ll leave it up to you to figure out the rest.

Hello! This is the first day. This is the beginning of the Fredrik website. This will be the source of text, sounds, odd ends and cuts you won’t find anywhere else. We decided to go public and spread some more information about us, in part because people started to get annoyed with us, in part because we wanted to. In either case, we are happy to be here. And that you are here too.

Unless something specifically for neighbourhood things, this site will be largely in english. This is because we are very busy and don’t have the time to babelfish our way through the 900-something languages spoken on this planet. We flogged our TV-sets long ago and quit our day jobs, but we’re still short on hours. Here’s a form if you want to sue us.

Again, welcome and see you around!
